Meet the Speakers

Monty Taylor

Monty Taylor is a barrister at Tenth Floor Wentworth Selborne Chambers in Sydney, where he maintains a broad commercial practice with a specialisation in international arbitration. Prior to joining the Bar, Monty was a partner in the international arbitration team of Arnold & Porter (London office), where he represented companies and sovereign states in international commercial arbitrations and investor-state arbitrations. A former Legal Counsel at ICSID (an arm of the World Bank), Monty is recognised for his expertise in arbitration and public international law across the leading legal directories, including Chambers & Partners (Global), Chambers & Partners (UK), Legal 500 (UK), and Who’s Who Legal. Monty also serves as an adjunct professor of public international law at Pepperdine University, and he holds a faculty affiliate position at Queen Mary University of London’s School of International Arbitration.
